Falcon shocks Marseille
Few expected Falcon Motorsport to survive the opening weekend of the IHRC season.
Fewer expected them to fight for the podium.
But under heavy rain, collapsing grip conditions and mounting technical failures across the field, Adrien Moreau delivered one of the most dramatic comeback performances seen in modern motorsport.
The Marseille Night Circuit transformed into a mirror of water and light shortly after the race began. Visibility collapsed within minutes as spray consumed the harbor straights and tight urban corners surrounding the old city.
Multiple teams struggled to maintain tire temperature and telemetry stability throughout the event, particularly during the second half of the race.
Moreau, returning to elite competition after years away from the championship, remained calm while several front-running teams lost control in worsening weather conditions.
Nova Dynamics initially appeared untouchable. Kaito Reinhardt dominated qualifying and controlled the opening laps with near perfect precision before unexpected telemetry irregularities triggered concern inside race control.
Race Engineer: “Telemetry spike on Sector Three.”
Moreau: “From us?”
Engineer: “Negative.”
Moreau: “…Then somebody else has a problem.”
By Lap 27, the race evolved into pure survival.
Drivers reported unstable rear grip, delayed steering response and unpredictable tire degradation while rain intensified across the marina district.
Falcon Motorsport adapted faster than expected.
The team’s decision to remain on intermediate compounds during the final weather shift proved decisive, allowing Moreau to overtake multiple rivals during the closing laps.
He eventually crossed the line in second place behind Nova Dynamics, though post-race discussions quickly shifted away from the podium celebration itself.
Questions surrounding unexplained telemetry interference continued spreading throughout the paddock long after the podium ceremony ended.
Sofia Vega: “That wasn’t normal data corruption.”
Editor: “You think somebody manipulated the race?”
Sofia: “I think somebody wanted control.”
Inside Falcon Motorsport, however, the atmosphere was very different.
For the first time in years, the team looked alive again.
Mechanics celebrated openly in the garage while fans gathered outside the paddock long after midnight beneath the rain soaked lights of Marseille Harbor.
Moreau himself remained cautious during the post-race interviews.
The statement immediately triggered speculation across the IHRC media ecosystem, especially after reports emerged suggesting ongoing investigations into unauthorized signal activity during the race.
The championship officially denied any evidence of manipulation.
Unofficially, almost nobody believed them.
Season One has only just begun.
