Doha, Qatar — The Ministry of Interior announced Tuesday the martyrdom of Lance Corporal Badr Saad Mohammed Al Humaidi Al Dosari, a member of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), following an Israeli airstrike that targeted a residential compound in Doha housing several members of Hamas’ political bureau.

In its official statement, the ministry confirmed that the attack resulted not only in the death of Al Dosari but also in injuries to several other security personnel stationed at the site. The ministry expressed its condolences to the family of the fallen officer and praised his sacrifice while performing his duties.

Authorities reported that specialized units from Lekhwiya, including the Explosives Unit, have been deployed to sweep and secure the affected area. Field procedures were launched immediately after the strike, with teams working under approved emergency plans to contain the situation and prevent further harm.

The Ministry of Interior emphasized that the safety of citizens and residents remains its highest priority. In coordination with Lekhwiya, it continues to monitor developments closely and implement necessary security measures.

The statement also urged the public to rely solely on official sources for information and to refrain from spreading unverified reports or rumors. Officials noted that further details will be shared as the investigation and security response progress.

The airstrike, which struck deep into the Qatari capital, has heightened regional tensions, coming on the heels of Israel’s unprecedented targeting of Hamas leadership in Doha. Qatar has strongly condemned the attack, labeling it a violation of its sovereignty and a threat to civilian safety.

The death of Lance Corporal Al Dosari marks the first known Qatari security casualty in the escalation, underscoring the widening scope of the conflict.
