The stage is set for an electrifying 2025 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix at Marina Bay as the FIA released an updated starting grid following two key disqualifications. George Russell will start from pole position after delivering two flawless laps in qualifying to edge out Max Verstappen. The Red Bull driver was frustrated with Lando Norris during his final push lap, believing the McLaren had impeded him.
Oscar Piastri, the current championship leader, will line up in third for McLaren, followed closely by Mercedes rookie Kimi Antonelli in fourth. Norris himself starts in fifth after a challenging qualifying session.

For the first time in his career at Marina Bay, Lewis Hamilton will start outside the top five. The Ferrari driver will line up sixth but still ahead of team-mate Charles Leclerc in seventh.
Disqualifications shake up the grid
The original qualifying results underwent a shake-up when Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz, who had qualified 12th and 13th respectively, were disqualified. FIA scrutineers determined that the DRS flap on both Williams cars exceeded the maximum permitted 85mm opening. As a result, every driver from Nico Hulkenberg downward has been promoted by two places.
This decision places Hulkenberg in 11th, Liam Lawson up to 12th, and pushes Albon and Sainz to the back of the grid.
