MARIGNANE, France — Airbus Helicopters has reported a massive 20% jump in annual orders, driven by a wave of new military contracts across Europe as nations scramble to modernize their defense capabilities. In an annual performance report released on Monday, January 26, 2026, the company revealed it secured 544 gross orders (536 net) in 2025, a significant rise from the 455 orders recorded the previous year.
The surge in demand has reshaped the company’s market profile. For the first time in recent history, Airbus saw its share of the global military helicopter market climb to 28%, up from 15% just two years ago. The “outstanding performance,” as described by outgoing CEO Bruno Even, was anchored by several landmark sovereign agreements:

Spain’s National Helicopter Plan: A massive December 2025 contract for 100 helicopters, including 50 H145Ms and 31 NH90s, valued at approximately €4 billion.
