The celebratory atmosphere of New Year’s Eve turned into a scene of devastation in the Swiss Alps as a massive explosion and subsequent fire ripped through a crowded bar in the luxury ski resort of Crans-Montana. The Swiss authorities launched a massive emergency response, treating the site as a combat-style triage zone.
