STETTEN, GERMANY — In the world of ultra-exclusive hypercars, modifying a masterpiece is often seen as sacrilege. However, German tuning specialists Novitec have dared to refine the unrefinable, unveiling a comprehensive upgrade package for the Ferrari Daytona SP3 that elevates the limited-run icon to new heights of acoustic and mechanical intensity.
The Daytona SP3, a mid-engined homage to Ferrari’s 1960s sports prototypes, is already one of the rarest modern machines to emerge from Maranello, with only 599 units in existence. Novitec’s intervention focuses on enhancing the car’s sensory experience without diluting its heritage-inspired DNA.
A Symphony in V12
The centerpiece of the Novitec transformation is a bespoke high-performance exhaust system. While the factory 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 is already regarded as one of the greatest engines of the modern era, Novitec has managed to extract even more “scream” from the power unit.
By optimizing exhaust flow, the tuner has boosted the SP3’s output by 28 horsepower. This takes the total from the factory’s 829 hp to a staggering 868 hp. Beyond the raw numbers, the system is designed to provide a more visceral, high-pitched soundtrack reminiscent of vintage Formula 1 cars, ensuring the Daytona “screams louder” than any of its stock counterparts.

Staggered Stance and Vossen Forging
To complement the mechanical upgrades, Novitec has addressed the car’s aesthetics and handling. The Daytona SP3 now sits on custom-developed, forged center-lock wheels produced in collaboration with American specialist Vossen.
The setup utilizes a staggered configuration—20-inch rims at the front and 21-inch at the rear, further emphasizing the car’s aggressive, wedge-shaped silhouette. These lightweight wheels are designed not only for visual impact but also to reduce unsprung mass, sharpening the car’s already telepathic steering response.
Bespoke Interior Refinement
While the exterior remains largely true to Ferrari’s original design to maintain its aerodynamic integrity, Novitec offers extensive interior customization. Owners of the SP3 can opt for a complete cabin overhaul, utilizing the finest leathers and Alcantara in any color imaginable, allowing the 599 lucky individuals to further personalize their multimillion-dollar investment.
