OSLO, NORWAY — Norwegian police have arrested three brothers in their 20s in connection with a “terror bombing” at the United States Embassy in Oslo. The arrests, made Wednesday afternoon, follow a high-intensity investigation into a powerful explosion that rocked the city’s diplomatic district early Sunday morning.
The suspects, all Norwegian citizens of Iraqi origin, are accused of detonating an improvised explosive device (IED) at the entrance to the embassy’s consular section. While the blast caused structural damage and filled the surrounding streets with thick smoke, no injuries were reported.

THE “PROXY” HYPOTHESIS

By Wednesday evening, reports emerged that one of the brothers had admitted to placing the bomb. His defense attorney, Øystein Storrvik, confirmed his client had “clarified what happened” but declined further comment.
