At Least 12 Hospitalized After Shooting at Oklahoma Campground Party

At least 12 people were hospitalized after gunfire erupted during a party at a campground near Arcadia Lake in Edmond late Sunday evening, authorities said.

According to the Edmond Police Department, the shooting occurred shortly after 9 p.m., prompting a large emergency response. Officers from Edmond were joined by the Oklahoma City Police Department and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Police said multiple victims were found at the scene, with at least 10 transported by emergency crews to hospitals across the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. Medical officials later confirmed that nine victims were being treated at Integris Health Baptist Medical Center, while three others were admitted to Integris Health Edmond Hospital.

Authorities have not yet released details about the severity of the injuries, and no suspects were in custody as of early Monday. Investigators are still working to determine what led to the shooting.

Witnesses described a chaotic scene as shots rang out during the gathering, sending attendees scrambling for safety. The campground, located roughly 20 miles north of Oklahoma City, is a popular recreational area known for water activities and outdoor events.

Arcadia Lake, where the incident took place, has long been a destination for locals and visitors alike since its development in the late 1980s.

Law enforcement officials are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward as the investigation continues.
