Iranian authorities said that the latest wave of United States airstrikes has killed at least 14 people and injured 78 others, marking another deadly escalation in the rapidly expanding military confrontation between Washington and Tehran.

The casualty figures were released following overnight U.S. operations targeting military infrastructure across southern Iran, including air defence systems, missile storage facilities, naval assets and logistics hubs.

Casualties Reported Across Multiple Locations

According to Iranian officials, the strikes affected several areas across the country, with emergency services responding to multiple sites where explosions were reported.

The government said 14 people were killed and 78 others were wounded, though it did not immediately specify whether the casualties included military personnel, civilians, or both.

Independent verification of the figures has not yet been possible.

Conflict Continues to Escalate

The latest attacks came after President Donald Trump declared that the ceasefire between the United States and Iran was “over,” ordering additional military operations aimed at reducing Iran’s ability to threaten international shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

The strikes were followed by Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting U.S. allies in the Gulf region, further raising concerns about a wider regional conflict.

International Concern Grows

The renewed exchange of military action has intensified fears that the confrontation could destabilize the Middle East and threaten global energy supplies, with the Strait of Hormuz remaining a critical flashpoint for international maritime trade.

Diplomatic efforts to contain the crisis continue, but both Washington and Tehran have maintained firm military positions, leaving uncertainty over whether the violence will escalate further.
