Depeche Mode is set to release a wealth of exciting new content on December 5, including the CD/DVD and CD/Blu-ray bundles of Depeche Mode: M and the companion live album Memento Mori: Mexico City, via Columbia Records, Sony Music Vision, and Trafalgar Releasing. The announcement was made through the band’s official website, further building anticipation among their global fanbase.
Depeche Mode: M – A Film and Live Concert Experience
The upcoming release of Depeche Mode: M will include both a feature film and a full concert film, giving fans an immersive experience. Directed by Fernando Frías, Depeche Mode: M is a unique blend of live concert footage and culturally rich vignettes that delve into Mexico’s traditions surrounding mortality, a theme that resonates deeply with the band’s 2023 album Memento Mori.
The physical release, available in both CD/DVD and CD/Blu-ray formats, will showcase the band’s unforgettable performances during their three-night run at Mexico City’s Foro Sol stadium in 2023. These concerts attracted over 200,000 fans, reflecting the band’s enduring global appeal.
Memento Mori: Mexico City – Full Concert and Bonus Tracks
Alongside the feature film, Depeche Mode will release the full-length concert film, Memento Mori: Mexico City, also directed by Frías. The concert film will capture the intense energy and magic of the band’s performances, featuring tracks from Memento Mori and their iconic catalog.
Additionally, Memento Mori: Mexico City will be available as a stand-alone live album, offered in both 2×CD and 4×LP vinyl editions. The live album will not only feature more than two hours of audio from the Mexico City shows, but also include four previously unreleased tracks from the Memento Mori sessions: “Survive,” “Life 2.0,” “Give Yourself To Me,” and the highly anticipated “In The End.”
The Digital Release of In The End
Fans won’t have to wait long for a taste of the new material. In The End, a previously unreleased studio outtake from the Memento Mori sessions, will be available digitally on October 24. The track was first heard during the end credits of the Depeche Mode: M world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2025, and now fans can experience it on their own time.
