The countdown to Audi’s official entry into Formula 1 has taken a major step forward. The German manufacturer has not only cemented its official team identity but has also planned an ambitious, public-facing launch event for its inaugural F1 car.
Official Identity: Audi Revolut F1 Team
Audi has officially confirmed the name of its new operation: the Audi Revolut F1 Team.
This name highlights a significant partnership with the British digital bank, Revolut, which steps in as the title sponsor for the cars driven by Nico Hรผlkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto.
Team Principal Jonathan Wheatley emphasized the symbolic importance of the name definition.
“Today, our project assumes its official identity. The name Audi Revolut F1 Team is a symbol of the combined strength of our teams in Germany, the UK, and Switzerland, along with our partners,” said Wheatley. “It serves as a flag under which we all unite as we build the path to 2026. This is a crucial milestone that energizes the entire project and makes our long-term ambition tangible for everyone involved.”

Two-Day Car Launch Scheduled for Berlin
To mark the historic occasion, Audi has opted for an unconventional launch format. The presentation of the brand’s first F1 car will span two consecutive days in Berlin: January 20th and 21st.
Crucially, the second day of the program will include a public element, allowing fans to share in the excitement and get an early glimpse of the new team’s challenger before it takes to the track.
The announcement of the official team name and the date for the car’s launch are pivotal moments, generating considerable buzz as Audi gears up for its highly anticipated arrival on the Formula 1 grid.
