ABOARD AIR FORCE ONE — The United States has issued a direct and “firm” warning to Moscow against providing intelligence to the Iranian regime, as the conflict in the Middle East enters a volatile new phase involving strikes on critical infrastructure.
Steve Witkoff, President Donald Trump’s special envoy, confirmed to reporters on Sunday that he personally delivered the message to Russian officials, characterizing any intelligence sharing as “unacceptable.” The warning follows reports from The Washington Post suggesting that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has been receiving coordinates of U.S. ships and aircraft from Russian sources, an act the White House views as Moscow unofficially entering the conflict on Iran’s side.
