JERUSALEM — The Israeli Air Force has launched its most aggressive series of strikes to date against Iranian military infrastructure, a surge that strategic analysts describe as a “tactical sprint” to degrade Tehran’s capabilities before the White House imposes a ceasefire. With President Donald Trump repeatedly signaling his desire to end the “forever wars” in the Middle East at any moment, Israeli leadership is racing to secure a decisive military advantage while the diplomatic window remains open.

The escalation, reported by the New York Times and India Today, involves hundreds of sorties targeting high-value assets that were previously considered “red lines,” including hardened research facilities and specialized drone manufacturing plants.

The “Maximum Pressure” Disconnect

While the Trump administration has provided the logistical and intelligence support for Operation Epic Fury, there is a growing disconnect between Washington’s “Dealmaker” instincts and Jerusalem’s “Total Victory” doctrine.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet is reportedly concerned that a premature peace deal, brokered through the 15-point proposal currently being socialized in Pakistan, would leave Iran’s “Octopus” of regional proxies and its nuclear-adjacent infrastructure intact.

Target: The “Brains” of the IRGC

The latest wave of strikes has shifted focus from frontline rocket launchers to the “intellectual and logistical heart” of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

  • Deep-Tier Bunkers: Israeli “bunker-buster” munitions have reportedly struck underground facilities in the Alborz mountains, targeting the command-and-control nodes used to coordinate the “Hormuz Toll” operations.

  • Production Bottlenecks: Rather than hitting individual drones, Israel is systematically targeting the specialized factories that produce high-end carbon fiber and microelectronics for the Shahed and Arash series of loitering munitions.

The “Trump Factor.”

In Jerusalem, the memory of the 2020 Abraham Accords and the President’s penchant for sudden, transformational diplomatic pivots looms large. Israeli defense officials believe that once a summit in Islamabad or elsewhere is formalized, the U.S. will likely demand an immediate “freeze” on kinetic operations.

“Israel is playing for the long-term security of the next decade, while Washington is looking for a signature by the weekend,” said a senior fellow at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS). “This intensity is designed to ensure that whenever the music stops, Iran is left without its most dangerous toys.”

 A Multi-Front Flare-Up

As the air campaign in Iran intensifies, the “secondary fronts” are also heating up.

  • Lebanon: The IDF has increased its “pre-emptive” strikes on Hezbollah precision-missile depots, fearing that the group may launch a massive retaliatory salvo to relieve pressure on Tehran.

  • Cyber Warfare: Reports indicate a massive “wiper” malware attack has paralyzed the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas, further strangling the country’s ability to export fuel and import critical components.

The Coming Standoff

The White House has yet to publicly comment on the increased intensity of the Israeli strikes, but the deployment of the 82nd Airborne Division and the surge in PrSM production suggest the U.S. is still providing the “shield” while Israel swings the “sword.”

However, as the sun sets over the Mediterranean, the question remains: will the “Digital Scalpel” of Israeli strikes be enough to change the facts on the ground before the “Great Dealmaker” calls for a curtain close?
