Rudy Giuliani, a prominent political figure and longtime ally of Donald Trump, is in the hospital in what has been described as a “stable but critical condition,” according to his spokesperson.

Ted Goodman, speaking on social media, said Giuliani is “fighting with unwavering strength,” while calling for public prayers as the 81-year-old faces a serious health situation. No specific details regarding the nature of his condition have been disclosed.

Trump responded publicly, praising Giuliani as “the best mayor in the history of New York City” and highlighting his role in challenging the results of the 2020 presidential election. The former president also reiterated disputed claims about that election in his remarks.

Giuliani rose to national prominence during his tenure as mayor of New York City, particularly for his leadership in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks. His actions during that period earned him the nickname “America’s Mayor” and international recognition, including an honorary knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II in 2002.

After leaving office, Giuliani pursued a presidential bid before becoming a key supporter of Trump’s 2016 campaign. He later served as Trump’s personal lawyer and played a central role in efforts to contest the 2020 election results, which were ultimately rejected by courts and election officials.

In recent years, Giuliani has faced significant legal challenges. A jury ordered him to pay substantial damages to election workers he had accused of fraud, marking a major setback in his post-political career.

His current health concerns come months after he was injured in a car accident in New Hampshire, where he suffered multiple injuries, including a fractured vertebra and other physical trauma.

As Giuliani remains hospitalized, messages of support and concern have emerged from political allies and the public, reflecting his long and controversial presence in American public life.
