TEHRAN – In a chilling escalation of rhetoric, Iran’s top military spokesperson warned today that the “enemies of Tehran” will no longer find sanctuary in public spaces or vacation destinations anywhere in the world. The statement specifically targets U.S. and Israeli military personnel, signaling a potential shift toward unconventional and extraterritorial operations as the 2026 Iran War enters its fourth week.

“We Are Watching You”

General Abolfazl Shekarchi, the senior spokesperson for the Iranian Armed Forces, issued the warning via state media, addressing U.S. and Israeli officials directly. His comments suggested that Tehran has compiled detailed intelligence on the movements of its adversaries, even during their private time.

“We are keeping an eye on your cowardly officials and commanders, your wicked pilots and soldiers,” Shekarchi stated. “From now on, based on the information we have, the world’s tourist attractions, resorts, and entertainment centers will not be safe for you.”

A Global Insecurity Warning

The threat of “global insecurity” follows nearly 21 days of sustained U.S. and Israeli airstrikes under the coalition code name Operation Epic Fury. The conflict, which began on February 28, has decapitated much of Iran’s senior leadership—including the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and decimated the country’s energy infrastructure.

Analysts believe Shekarchi’s remarks are intended to project strength despite these losses, suggesting that Iran’s “Axis of Resistance” and its covert networks remain capable of striking soft targets far beyond the Middle East.

Context of the Escalation

The timing of the threat coincides with Nowruz, the Persian New Year. Usually a period of celebration, this year’s holiday has been darkened by:

  • Infrastructure Collapse: Rolling blackouts across Iran following the destruction of the South Pars gas field.

  • Retaliatory Strikes: Continued Iranian missile barrages targeting Israel and Gulf energy facilities in the UAE and Qatar.

  • Economic Turmoil: Global oil prices surging above $80 per barrel as the Strait of Hormuz remains a contested “insecure” waterway.

International Reaction

While Washington has not yet issued a formal response to Shekarchi’s specific comments, the Pentagon recently announced the deployment of 2,500 additional Marines to the region. Security experts have warned that the threat to “parks and leisure areas” could necessitate increased protection for military families and government officials traveling abroad.

In Jerusalem, officials characterized the threat as “the desperate cries of a crumbling regime,” though they emphasized that Israeli intelligence services remain on high alert for potential state-sponsored terror plots in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
